Hartford, CT
Shopify design and development for Hartford brands.
Looking for a Shopify agency in Hartford? Start with what actually needs doing: build the store, redesign the one you've outgrown, or market it once it's live with ads, email, search and testing. For brands doing six to eight figures a year.

Selling from Hartford
Where I-84 meets I-91, midway between two bigger markets.
Hartford's geography is the story here, plus a state label for anything grown in Connecticut. Each point carries its source.
Midway, by design
Bradley Field became Connecticut's commercial airport partly because of its position midway between New York and Boston — and its lack of coastal fog.
Two interstates cross downtown
I-84 runs through Hartford to its interchange with I-91 in downtown, the stretch CTDOT's I-84 Hartford Project covers.
A state label since 1986
Connecticut's Department of Agriculture started the Connecticut Grown program in 1986, with the green and blue logo that identifies products grown in the state.
Regions, not counties
In its 2023 metro delineations, the Census Bureau builds the Hartford metro from two of Connecticut's planning regions, Capitol and Lower Connecticut River Valley, rather than from counties.

A migration that kept paying
Off an outdated platform, and onto a store that keeps compounding.
Modern Prairie is a premium lifestyle brand with a devoted community, whose technology ceiling had become its growth ceiling. For a Hartford brand competing for attention with two much bigger markets, that's the ceiling worth removing first.
We moved it from WooCommerce to Shopify, then built the email and paid programs from zero. Three years on, we still run them.

Get the store built — or get the one you have selling better.
A build is one project: the design and theme, your catalog, the move off whatever you’re on now, and a launch somebody watches. From $10,000 one-time, and you own every bit of it.
Already on Shopify? Shopify Growth keeps the store improving month to month, from $2,250/mo. Ads, email, search and testing go on top when they’ll pay for themselves.
Questions, Hartford edition.
Are you actually in Hartford?
We're a remote agency, so there's no office to visit anywhere — ours or anyone else's. Our people are spread across the US and we run on video calls, which is how we'd work with you either way. Hartford is a straightforward trip up from our home base outside Philadelphia, if a kickoff in the room matters to you.
We're between Boston and New York. Is that good or bad?
Good for logistics, awkward for identity. A Hartford brand can reach both markets in under two hours, but it rarely gets claimed by either — which means the brand has to stand on what it sells rather than on where it is from, and that is usually the healthier position anyway.
Insurance money built this city. Does any of that help us?
Not as customers. The insurers that grew up here earned Hartford the nickname “Insurance Capital of the World,” but that's a reputation for policies, not products, and a shopper three states away won't connect it to what you sell. The story on your product page has to be yours rather than the city's.
We grow or make food in Connecticut. Is the CT Grown logo worth using online?
If your products qualify under the program's labeling rules, yes — it's a state mark shoppers here have seen since 1986, and it answers the where-is-this-from question before anyone asks it. Put it on the product page and in the photography rather than only in the footer.
Why do some tools draw the Hartford area differently from others?
Because Connecticut is counted by planning regions now, not counties — the Census Bureau builds the Hartford metro from the Capitol and Lower Connecticut River Valley regions. If a report or an ad tool still thinks in counties, check that its Hartford matches yours before you judge a campaign by it.
Where we work
Hartford and the Connecticut River valley.
Hartford sits almost exactly between Boston and New York, which means the brands here compete for attention with two much larger markets and often sell into both.
We’re a remote agency with a home base in Norristown, Pennsylvania — the team is spread across the country, with a good chunk of it on the west coast. Everything runs on video calls, so you get the same people and the same hours whether you’re downtown or an hour out of it.
