What you get

One flat number per brand.

No percentages, no tiers, no sliding scale. What the brand signs decides the number, and it’s the same whether you’re a client, an agency, an app team or someone with a newsletter.

A retainer is any of the five monthly services: Shopify Growth, Paid Ads (Meta + Google), Klaviyo Email & SMS, SEO & AI Search or A/B Testing & CRO. Single services — the fixed-scope jobs — don’t carry a bounty.

Questions

Fine print, plain words.

When do I get paid?

60 days after the brand’s first invoice is paid, by PayPal. For a Shopify Build, the 60 days start when the deposit is paid. We’ll email you when it’s on the way.

What counts as a referral?

A brand that signs a retainer or a Shopify Build after you introduced us. If we’d already talked to them in the last 180 days — as a lead or on a call — it doesn’t count, and we’ll tell you so.

Two of us referred the same brand. Who gets it?

Whoever reached us first. It’s one bounty per brand, and we’ll tell the second person straight away rather than leave them waiting.

Can I refer my own other store?

Yes. A sister brand or a second store is a new brand to us, so it counts like any other referral.

Is there a limit?

No cap. Every brand you send that signs is its own bounty.

Can I take credit instead of cash?

If you’re a client, yes — same amount, off your next invoice. Credit has no cash value and doesn’t transfer.

Do I need to say I’m getting paid?

Yes. Anywhere you post your link or recommend us for a bounty, say so — “I get paid if you hire them” works. “Affiliate link” on its own doesn’t. The FTC is clear on this one.

What about taxes?

We need a W-9 before we pay anyone (a W-8BEN if you’re outside the US). If we pay you $2,000 or more in a calendar year, you’ll get a 1099-NEC from us. The tax on it is yours.

What will you tell me about the brand?

Whether they booked, whether they signed, and when you’re paid. Nothing about their numbers, their scope or what they pay us.

Can you do the work under my agency’s name?

No — we don’t white-label. The brand works with us directly, and we won’t try to sell them what you already do for them.

The terms.

Who’s who. Golden Digital LLC runs this program. Partners are independent — not our employees, agents or resellers — and can’t sign anything for us or say they work here.
Who can join. Clients, agencies, freelancers, app companies and anyone who applies. We can approve, decline or remove anyone.
What counts. The brand signs a retainer or a Shopify Build; it wasn’t a client, a lead or on a call with us in the 180 days before your referral; and it agreed to hear from us. First valid referral wins. A code from your link lasts 90 days in the browser that opened it.
The bounty. $500 for a retainer, $1,000 for a Shopify Build, nothing for a single service. One per referred brand. A sister brand or second store counts as a new brand. No cap.
Payment. By PayPal, 60 days after the brand’s first invoice is paid (for a Shopify Build, 60 days after the deposit), if they’re still a client then. Nothing is owed on an invoice that goes unpaid or is refunded. We need a W-9 or W-8BEN first, and taxes are yours. Clients can take account credit instead: same amount, no cash value, not transferable.
Not allowed. Spam, bidding on “Golden Digital” in search ads, coupon or deal sites, cookie stuffing, fake reviews, results we haven’t published, and promoting us without saying you’re paid. Any of these forfeits unpaid bounties and ends your spot.
Say you’re paid. Wherever you recommend us for a bounty, disclose it clearly.
What we share. With you: booked, signed, paid. Never the brand’s scope, pricing or performance. With the brand: who introduced them.
Changes. We can change these terms going forward. A bounty already earned is paid under the terms it was earned under.
The legal bit. Pennsylvania law applies. Our liability to you is limited to bounties you’ve earned and we haven’t paid. This section is the whole agreement. How we handle the details you send is in our privacy policy.
