Detroit, MI
Shopify design and development for Detroit brands.
Looking for a Shopify agency in Detroit? Start with what actually needs doing: build the store, redesign the one you've outgrown, or market it once it's live with ads, email, search and testing. For brands doing six to eight figures a year.
Empty for thirty years. Not any more.
Selling from Detroit
A border town, a market district and a kitchen for new food brands.
Detroit's selling conditions start at the river and the market sheds. Each point links to where it comes from.
The busiest land border
The Government of Canada describes the Windsor–Detroit corridor as the busiest international land border crossing in North America, with hundreds of millions of dollars in trade crossing it daily.

A 43-acre market district
The Eastern Market district spans 43 acres, with the market and its sheds taking up 14 of them, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Scaling the ads without the efficiency falling over.
Modified Tot is a nursery brand with a real product behind it — personalized décor, wallpaper and furnishings — that had outgrown selling mostly through Etsy. Detroit brands that make what they sell know the product is the easy part to believe in.
The hard part was scaling paid without the returns collapsing. We fixed the feed, relaunched Meta beside Google, and raised budgets in deliberate steps only when performance held.

Get the store built — or get the one you have selling better.
A build is one project: the design and theme, your catalog, the move off whatever you’re on now, and a launch somebody watches. From $10,000 one-time, and you own every bit of it.
Already on Shopify? Shopify Growth keeps the store improving month to month, from $2,250/mo. Ads, email, search and testing go on top when they’ll pay for themselves.
Questions, Detroit edition.
Are you actually in Detroit?
We're a remote agency — home base is Norristown, Pennsylvania, on the same Eastern clock as you — so there's no Detroit office to visit. Our people are spread across the US and everything runs on video calls, from Corktown to Royal Oak.
We manufacture what we sell. Does that change the build?
It changes the catalog more than the design. Made-to-order, batch runs and real lead times all have to be visible on the product page, because the fastest way to lose a customer who liked your product is to surprise them at checkout with a ship date.
Does being a Detroit brand help us sell?
Sometimes, and more than most cities. Detroit carries a story that customers already have feelings about, so if you make things here it's worth saying so plainly on the product page rather than burying it in an About page nobody reads. That's a real advantage a brand in a generic suburb doesn't have.
We sell at Eastern Market. How do we keep those shoppers between Saturdays?
Give them the one thing the shed can't: a reorder. The Saturday crowd already likes you; what they're missing is a way to buy on a Wednesday. A short URL on the bag, a reason to sign up on the first visit, and a subscription for whatever they buy every week turns a market habit into a store habit.
We're a food start-up in a shared kitchen. When is a Shopify store worth it?
Earlier than most people think, and smaller. Three products that ship well, honest lead times and an ingredients panel on every page will do for a start. An incubator kitchen like Shed 5 is where the recipe gets proven; the store is where you find out who'll pay for it without tasting it first.
Where we work
Detroit and the three counties around it.
Detroit has more brands making physical things than most metros its size, and a product with real manufacturing behind it is a different storefront problem from a dropshipped one.
We’re a remote agency with a home base in Norristown, Pennsylvania — the team is spread across the country, with a good chunk of it on the west coast. Everything runs on video calls, so you get the same people and the same hours whether you’re downtown or an hour out of it.
