Los Angeles, CA

Shopify design and development for Los Angeles brands.

Looking for a Shopify agency in Los Angeles? Start with what actually needs doing: build the store, redesign the one you've outgrown, or market it once it's live with ads, email, search and testing. For brands doing six to eight figures a year.

Los Angeles · women's apparel

Paid that earns its keep, and search that finds new people.

Cabi is a national direct-seller in women's apparel, based in Los Angeles. Their paid budget had stopped pulling its weight, and search was mostly reaching people already looking for them by name.

We rebuilt the paid side so it earned its keep again, and worked non-branded search so it reached people who'd never heard of them — the two halves of the same problem.

Selling from LA

Where the containers land, and where the clothes get cut.

LA is a manufacturing town that doesn't look like one from the freeway. The conditions a brand here is selling in, each with where it comes from.

  • The busiest box port around

The Port of Los Angeles has ranked as the No. 1 container port in the Western Hemisphere for 26 years running, 2000 through 2025, and handled 10.2 million TEUs in 2025.

  • Two ports, one bay

Together, the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach handled about 31% of all containerized international waterborne trade in the U.S. in 2025.

  • The garment trade, spread out

The Fashion District is the hub of the West Coast apparel industry, and many of LA's manufacturers sit outside it — in El Monte, Vernon, the City of Commerce and south of Downtown.

Get the store built — or get the one you have selling better.

A build is one project: the design and theme, your catalog, the move off whatever you’re on now, and a launch somebody watches. From $10,000 one-time, and you own every bit of it.

Already on Shopify? Shopify Growth keeps the store improving month to month, from $2,250/mo. Ads, email, search and testing go on top when they’ll pay for themselves.

Questions, Los Angeles edition.

Are you actually in Los Angeles?

We're a remote agency, so there's no office to visit anywhere — and our people are spread across the US, West Coast included. The apparel brand above is in LA, and everything we do for them runs on video calls. That's the whole arrangement, and it hasn't cost them anything.

Is a three-hour gap going to slow us down?

It would if we were all sitting in one place, and we're not — we've got people on the West Coast, so your morning is somebody's morning here too. You're not waiting until someone's afternoon to get an answer, which is usually the real complaint about working with an East Coast shop.

We cut and sew in LA. Is that worth putting on the product page?

Yes, and be specific about it. Apparel is made all over this county, from Vernon to El Monte, so a shopper who cares where it's made can usually be shown the actual place. Small local runs also mean faster restocks, which is worth saying next to the size chart rather than burying in the About page.

Our stock comes in through the ports. How should the store handle a late container?

Launch around landed stock, not the ship date. Roughly a third of the country's container trade comes through San Pedro Bay, so when it backs up, your arrival date moves with it. Pre-orders with honest dates, back-in-stock emails and an inventory feed from the warehouse keep a delay from turning into cancelled orders.

Where we work

Los Angeles County, all of it.

LA is a lot of markets wearing one name. The apparel brand we work with here sits in a different part of it than most people picture when they say "LA".

We’re a remote agency with a home base in Norristown, Pennsylvania — the team is spread across the country, with a good chunk of it on the west coast. Everything runs on video calls, so you get the same people and the same hours whether you’re downtown or an hour out of it.
