Washington, DC
Shopify design and development for Washington brands.
Looking for a Shopify agency in Washington DC? Start with what actually needs doing: build the store, redesign the one you've outgrown, or market it once it's live with ads, email, search and testing. For brands doing six to eight figures a year.
Worth the walk from the Mall.
Selling from the District
Four jurisdictions, one metro, and a spring that arrives in pink.
Washington's market runs across more lines than most, and its busiest season has a Park Service forecast. Sources beside each.
Four jurisdictions, one metro
The Census Bureau's Washington-Arlington-Alexandria metro spans the District, Virginia, Maryland and Jefferson County, West Virginia.
Grouped with Baltimore
The Census Bureau also puts Washington and Baltimore in one combined statistical area, Washington-Baltimore-Arlington.
Bloom season
The National Park Service says the most likely time for the cherry blossoms to reach peak bloom is between the last week of March and the first week of April.

Email · launches first
Every launch and restock landed in the inbox first.
Davin & Adley makes modern pumping and nursing bras, and its launches were the moments that mattered: a new style like the Ella, a restock of the bestselling Amelia. Across the DMV, email is the one channel that doesn't care which of the three jurisdictions a customer lives in.
We wrote, designed and sent that program across 2023–24, with each launch built around the brand's own photography and its own offer code.

Get the store built — or get the one you have selling better.
A build is one project: the design and theme, your catalog, the move off whatever you’re on now, and a launch somebody watches. From $10,000 one-time, and you own every bit of it.
Already on Shopify? Shopify Growth keeps the store improving month to month, from $2,250/mo. Ads, email, search and testing go on top when they’ll pay for themselves.
Questions, Washington edition.
Are you actually in Washington?
We're a remote agency, so there's no office to visit anywhere — ours or anyone else's. Our people are spread across the US and we run on video calls, which is how we'd work with you either way. Our home base is outside Philadelphia, which is a couple of hours up I-95 — close enough to be in the room for a kickoff if that matters to you.
We sell across DC, Maryland and Virginia. Is that a problem?
Not for the store — for the settings behind it. Anything set up by state, starting with ad targeting and local delivery, has to cover the District, Maryland and Virginia at once, or a campaign aimed at "DC" misses Bethesda and Arlington entirely. Cheap to get right at launch, tedious to unpick later.
We sell to government or institutional buyers too. Does Shopify handle that?
It can, and Washington is where this comes up most. Purchase orders, net terms and company-specific price lists all work on Shopify with B2B configured — but it is a real setup decision rather than a checkbox, and it should be scoped at the start rather than added the week a big order lands.
We sell gifts and keepsakes. How much should cherry blossom season shape the year?
A lot, and the date moves. The Park Service puts peak bloom most often in the last week of March or the first of April, and it publishes a forecast as it gets close — so load the blossom collection and its email for mid-March, and be ready to send the moment the forecast firms up rather than on a date you picked in January.
Should our DC store be marketing in Baltimore too?
Worth testing. The Census Bureau counts Washington and Baltimore as one combined area, which is the Bureau's way of saying the two are tied together. Run it as its own campaign so you can see whether Baltimore buys, rather than widening the DC targeting and losing track of which city the sales came from.
Where we work
The District, plus the Maryland and Virginia sides.
Washington crosses three jurisdictions before you leave the metro, and most brands here treat the DMV as one market, which is right. A Washington brand and an Arlington one are selling to the same person.
We’re a remote agency with a home base in Norristown, Pennsylvania — the team is spread across the country, with a good chunk of it on the west coast. Everything runs on video calls, so you get the same people and the same hours whether you’re downtown or an hour out of it.
