Salt Lake City, UT

Shopify design and development for Salt Lake City brands.

Looking for a Shopify agency in Salt Lake City? Start with what actually needs doing: build the store, redesign the one you've outgrown, or market it once it's live with ads, email, search and testing. For brands doing six to eight figures a year.

Selling from the Wasatch Front

Direct selling's home state, the snow, and the roads west.

Two kinds of consumer business run unusually deep in Utah. These are the conditions a store here is working with, each with where it comes from.

  • Direct selling runs deep

A Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute study counted 91 direct selling companies and 66 key suppliers in Utah, with the industry directly employing 17,487 Utahns in 2020.

  • And it sells worldwide

The same study found ten Utah-based direct sellers provided more than $10.3 billion in goods and services to customers around the world.

  • Snow leads the outdoors

In BEA's 2024 figures, skiing and other snow activities added $598.2 million to Utah's economy — the third-largest state total — and led every other conventional outdoor pursuit there.

  • The Crossroads of the West

Salt Lake City describes itself as a hub for air, ground and rail distribution, located almost equidistant from all major Western U.S. markets.

Direct-selling · paid and search

Paid and search for a direct-seller, pointed at new customers.

Cabi is a national direct-seller in women's apparel with a stylist community behind it — a model plenty of Wasatch Front brands know from the inside. Its previous agency had scaled ad spend without the returns to match.

We fed Cabi's own customer data into each platform, split new customers from returning ones, and built search demand beyond the brand name, so the store reached people who weren't already searching for Cabi.

And a build, timed to a season

Stuffed States

A new store, Google Ads and an email program launched together inside one spring–summer gifting season. For a Wasatch Front brand with a short season of its own, that's the build that has to be ready before it starts.

Get the store built — or get the one you have selling better.

A build is one project: the design and theme, your catalog, the move off whatever you’re on now, and a launch somebody watches. From $10,000 one-time, and you own every bit of it.

Already on Shopify? Shopify Growth keeps the store improving month to month, from $2,250/mo. Ads, email, search and testing go on top when they’ll pay for themselves.

Questions, Salt Lake City edition.

Are you actually in Salt Lake City?

We're a remote agency, so there's no office to visit anywhere — ours or anyone else's. Our people are spread across the US and we run on video calls, which is how we'd work with you either way, and a Mountain Time day overlaps our East and West Coast hours at both ends.

We're an outdoor brand with a short season. How should we plan?

Around the season rather than the calendar. A Salt Lake City brand whose year is decided in two quarters cannot run a flat always-on program — the build has to be finished before the season opens, not during it, and the budget should be shaped like the demand rather than the twelve months.

Our customers research heavily before buying. What does that need?

Specs, comparisons and honest answers rather than persuasion. Email that stays useful across a long decision beats email that nags — the goal is to be the resource they come back to, not the reminder they mute.

We're a direct-selling brand adding our own store. What changes?

The store has to work for your field, not around it. In a state with 91 direct sellers, the reps are usually the brand's best channel — so the site should credit their sales, keep their links working, and never undercut the prices they quote. Get that right first; the retail shopper who arrives with no rep comes second.

Our reps already sell overseas. Should the store go international too?

Follow the reps, not the map. Utah's biggest direct sellers already do billions in sales worldwide, and the countries where your field is selling are the ones worth opening first — local currency, translated product pages, and shipping you've actually priced. Opening forty markets at once mostly buys you forty sets of returns to deal with.

Where we work

Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Front around it.

Salt Lake City anchors the Wasatch Front, which has an unusual concentration of outdoor and direct-selling brands. Both are categories where the product page does far more explaining than a typical store, and that is the part Salt Lake brands most often ask us to fix.

We’re a remote agency with a home base in Norristown, Pennsylvania — the team is spread across the country, with a good chunk of it on the west coast. Everything runs on video calls, so you get the same people and the same hours whether you’re downtown or an hour out of it.
